Today the FCC released the E-rate filing window dates for 2013. The Funding Year 2013 Form 471 filing window will open Dec. 12, 2012 and close March 14, 2013. Funding Year 2013 will follow one of the largest funding years in the history of the program. In FY2012, requests for discounts on certain communications services increased for the fourth straight year as schools and libraries nationwide requested more than $5 billion in E?rate funds. The requested amount marked the second time in the 16-year history of the program that applicant demand exceeded the $5 billion threshold. Executives from Funds For Learning, the nation’s largest E-rate compliance firm, are available for comment if needed.
